BLACK HAWKS CHEER​

The first fundraiser Car Wash was very successful, it made over $1100, every cheerleader who signed up attended and the Cheer Boosters voted to have two more before the summer ends

The second Car Wash was July 20th and raised $730.  The manager recommended we consider a September car wash because they have almost 3x the traffic then.  The Boosters chose to set a September Car Wash at the July 24th meeting.

This Car Wash raised $880.  The Boosters voted to set two Car Washes before the end of the summer, it makes good money, the Cheerleaders work it themselves, we don't have to sell anything and there is no school to compete for our time.  

We have our final  (we hope!) fundraiser set for September 21st.  We'll also be adjusting the sign up so there are fewer slots in the morning and noon since we always seem to be short handed in the afternoon.  We're very proud of the girls sticking to all these fundraisers, it takes a lot to run this program and they are paying for it themselves since we have such a small Booster fee this year.

The Cheer Boosters run a 50/50 raffle during the Friday night Varsity home games.  We need parent volunteers to help run these raffles.  The job pretty much consists of selling tickets during the first half of the game and then the winner is announced early in the third quarter.  This is a tremendous money maker for our program which should be bigger than ever with the combined school.  Every family is expected to volunteer thoughout the season, this is an easy one!
