Bloomfield Boosters Grant Requests 2013
The Bloomfield Boosters is a parent volunteer organization sponsored by Bloomfield Hills Schools to support District athletic programs for students in grades 7-12. Bloomfield Boosters raises and distributes funds for significant improvements of athletic programs. Funds are distributed via a grant process. The Bloomfield Hills High School Cheer Boosters present grant requests recommended by our Booster club members during one of the four grant periods: January 1-15, April 1-15, July 1-15 and October 1-15. This year we presented five requests as recommended at the June 24th Booster Meeting. We received 50% funding on the Cheer Banner, Crowd Involvement Signs, Megaphones/Decals and Sideline Boxes requests. The Gymnastic Clinics request was denied because the Bloomfield Boosters do not pay for training. At the July 24th Booster meeting it was decided that we would use Cheer Booster Funds to pay the other half of the Sideline Boxes and the Cheer Banner and investigate whether we could purchase a smaller number of megaphones/decals and crowd involvement signs using only Bloomfield Booster funds this year and budgeting to raise our half next year. We have a meeting set for the week of July 29th to discuss both the Sideline Jacket grant and these grants with Mike Cowdrey, Athletic Director, Bloomfield Hills Schools and see what we can "get for our money".
